Big Mountain Ski Area Photographs

This picture shows the upper section of Hellroaring Basin at the Big Mountain Ski Area. Like to tree ski?? Or to ski in chutes?? Then hellroaring basin is for you. There is only one true "dedicated trail" in hellroaring basin - the intermediate ski run called "Hell-Fire", which is really a maintenance road during warmer months and provides lower level skiiers the chance to ski back in this beautiful ski terrain.

Other than this one trail, the entire area in Hellroaring Basin - which covers more than 1000 acres, is completely ungroomed. Hellroaring basin provides excellent tree skiing - and you can frequently find powder days after a snowfall back here. You just need to know where to go to get it!
