This is
Hellroaring Peak, which is what the whole Hellroaring Basin is
named after, obviously. Technically speaking, Hellroaring Peak
is "out of bounds" skiing, as there is no lift to its top. The
lift served runs in Hellroaring Basin all begin at the top of
the Hellroaring Basin - not its peak.
That said,
for those willing to risk a little exercise and be a little daring,
you might want to consider taking the rather short but painful
hike up to the
top
of Hellroaring
Peak. Depending on snow conditions, the hike will take around 30
minutes or so. By taking this hike, you'll get true powder skiing,
zero crowds and absolutely phenemonal downhill skiing. You also
get the privilege of skiing some truly excellent terrain - terrain
that is found no place else on Big Mountain. |
