Skiing on
Big Mountain during an inversion is pretty neat. It's always
kind of
a strange feeling "skiing into the clouds". During some inversions,
it is even possible to ski into the clouds and then out of them
- all on the same ski run.
What made
this days inversion rather unique up on Big Mountain is the way
the clouds "looked", for lack of a better word. Looking at the
clouds one can see two layers to it - a lower layer right up
against the mountain and an upper layer that didn't quite reach
the land. This made the clouds look like giant white waves. |
