| This ski trail is Liberty Bowl. Liberty Bowl is the easiest ski trail down from the summit of Lone Peak at Big Sky resort. Skiing down Liberty Bowl is a bit deceptive - it looks easy and short but the opposite is really true. Liberty Bowl, while it lacks the rocks and chutes like other summit ski trails have, is very steep and deceptively long - an impression enhanced by the featureless terrain seen on the trail. If you look closely in the photo, the three tiny specks on the trail are people skiing down Liberty Bowl - which hopefully will provide for some perspective on the size and length of the Liberty Bowl ski trail.
