Blacktail Ski Area Photographs

This photograph was taken from just below the summit of Blacktail Ski Area, right below the lodge. The towering mountains in the background are part of the Swan Mountains. Bits and pices of the Flathead Valley are also visible. On this day an inversion occurred. What was pecuiliar about it, though, was that it only covered Flathead Lake and the southern portion of the Flathead Valley. The inversion didn't extend all the way up the Flathead Valley like it normally does.
