This picture
shows the southern boundary at Bridger Bowl ski area. As you can
see by the ski tracks, just because it is "out of bounds" doesn't
mean people don't ski on it! To access this terrain, just head
up to the ridge and begin the long walk/ski traverse over across
the Nose and beyond. Then drop down into the delightful looking
terrain - being careful to not go too far down - lest you miss
the cut-over the leads back to the ski area. Also watch out for
avalanches - huge slabs of snow are clearly visible in this picture
- just waiting for an opportune time to drop down on an unsuspecting
skier when the conditions are right.
If the expansion plans for Bridger Bowl come about, someday this
terrain may actually be lift served and no longer out of bounds. |
