This photo was taken at the bottom of what I call a "Gully Ski Run" at Teton Pass Ski Area. These "Gully Trails," of which there are several of varying degrees of steepness, are characterized by being very narrow and having "U" shaped edges. The result is that, especially when the snow is packed, it is like skiing down a bobsled run - which is very hard on the equipment and hard on the technique!
