These are four of the five Mountain Grouse that we encountered while hiking the Iceberg Lake Trail in Glacier National Park. The darker bird at the tail end of the pack is the male, while the three other visible birds are the female (a fifth female wasn't quite as bold and sort of "side stepped" her way among the bushes that are on the edge of the trail).
