This photograph was taken near "Red Rock Point" on the Going to the Sun Road. This point is located on the west side of Glacier, right near the Avalanche Campground. It looks up at what is one of the more active avalanche chutes in Glacier that are easily seen from the road. Almost like clockwork, every year massive avalanches roar down Mt. Cannon (the mountain far above), burying parts of the Sun Road under massive amounts of snow.
