| This photograph was taken south of Havre, along the edge of the Bearpaw Mountains, and looks to the Northwest towards the Sweet Grass Hills. The hills from this point are about 60 miles away - which should give you an idea of how far you can see these hills from. The major set of mountains in the center of the photo is East Butte. To the left of this Gold Butte is also visible - a distance of over 80 miles from the point this photo was taken. |
