You see many
old, abandoned bank buildings in central and eastern Montana. The
reason you see so many is that these older banks, for obvious reasons,
were built of stone. Eventually, either the bank moves to a new
location in town or just goes out of business. But, because the
building is made of stone, the building remains. This abandoned
bank in Bainsville is just one of many bank buildings you'll see
in the Hi-Line area. Unfortunately, when this bank went under,
another bank did not move into town to replace it. |
