| This is the Bears Paw Ski Area, located in the mountains about 30 miles due south of Havre. The ski area itself is very small - having only one lift and a vertical rise of around 900 feet. The ski area also doesn't get pounded with too much snow - only about 150 inches on average. Still, it is nice to have a ski area in this part of Montana. The ski area is also affordable.
