Rudyard, Montana,
is a small town located about 35 miles to the west of Havre, near
Inverness and Chester. For some reason, some of the hardest hit
towns on the Hi-Line, at least
as far as store closures and loss of businesses go, seem to be
on the stretch of the Hi-Line between Havre and Shelby. I'm sure
there is a reason for this, but I really don't know what it is.
What's odder is that this area between Havre and Shelby has some
of the best agricultural land in the state - the fields in this
area are full of wheat. |
