This picture
was taken from the small hill just outside of the downtown area
of Butte (about 2 miles away or so - the one with the big M on
it). In this picture, you can see the downtown center of Butte,
the Continental Divide and the sprawling flatlands that lie to
the south of Butte - and which is now where the primary growth
in Butte is occurring. The Berkeley Pitt strip mine is also visible.
