Ghost Signs are a common sight in Butte, Montana. Ghost Signs are signs that were painted on the sides of buildings many, many years ago and now promote long-defunct businesses selling various and sometimes odd things. While some of the signs still promote active businesses, most are now long-gone. Happily, Butte recognizes the importance of these "ghost signs" and is working to restore them.
