This picture
is of the Cathedral of St. Helena. This is a beautiful church
that soars into the sky. Its lofty height, combined with its
location on a small hill, make it readily visible from most locations
in Helena (I think it's also the tallest building in Helena,
too, if you count the height of the spires). The cathedral of
St. Helena is a catholic church. It took 16 years
to build
and
was
mostly
privately
financed
by
a wealthy Helena miner, Thomas Cruise (who has Cruise Avenue
named after him). The Cathedral of St. Helena began construction
in 1908 and was finished in 1924.
