The Great Northern Railway is an integral part of Whitefish. After all, Whitefish owes its existence to the building of the GN Railroad. So, guess its not surprising that an old Great Northern Engine sits right downtown by the Amtrak station. During the winter, the town "dresses" up the engine in rather unique Christmas lights.
