This photo
just highlights the typical terrain found throughout the Missouri
Breaks region of Montana. You see all those draws and gullies -
most of which are heavily wooded? Well, all those little draws
and gullies is what makes the hunting so spectacular in this part
of Montana. Elk and deer inhabit these areas during the day - making
them very, very difficult to find. And the sheer number of these
gullies makes it less than easy to flush them out into the open.
The elk and deer emerge from these gullies during the evening and
nights to forage on the vast plains that surround these gullies. |
