Drift boats ply the Missouri River just below Holter Dam. When the hatch is on, or the weather is nice on a weekend, the Missouri River downstream from Holter Dam is the busy place. Drift boats and other fishing boats will stretch out along the river for as far as the eye can see. For this stretch of river, virtually any type of fishing boat works, such as inflatable rafts, pontoon boats and inflatable kayaks.
