Madison River in Yellowstone National Park. Fly fishing this section of the Madison River requires some finesse, light tackle and stealth. Best fishing will be in the spring and again in the fall. Due to thermal activity upstream in the Firehole River, this part of the Madison River often is closed to fishing during the height of summer due to warm water temperatures.
