Going to the Sun Road : Photo Gallery

This is a new kind of photo gallery showing various pictures of Glacier National Park here on bigskyfishing.com. What this particular Glacier National Park Photo Gallery shows is a day trip up the Going to the Sun Road. There are more than 55 pictures of Glacier National Park in this gallery, divided into two sections.

The first section shows pictures that were taken along the Going to the Sun Road on the EAST side of the Continental Divide (around St. Mary and St. Mary Lake and Siyeh Bend).

The second section of this photo gallery shows pictures that were taken along the road on the WEST side of the Continental Divide (Lake McDonald, Apgar Village, McDonald Creek, Garden Wall, Weeping Wall).

All of these pictures were taken right along the road - with only an occasional 20 yard walk to a scenic lakeshore and such. In short, these pictures are what you will see when traveling the Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park.

These pictures were also taken on the same day - June 3rd, 2003. The weather that day was very variable. It was raining and cloudy on the west side of the park early in the day, but began to become sunny by later afternoon. The east side of the park was pretty much nice all day long. As such, you'll see all sorts of cloud and lighting conditions in these pictures. Also note, 2 or 3 pictures actually date from October 2002. Due to light conditions, I wasn't able to get good pictures of a few places I wanted to show in this photo gallery.
