This is the view a person gets when hiking up the Grinnell Glacier Trail.
Towering far above are the mountains that form the Continental Divide
in this part of Glacier National Park. The Gem Glacier and the Salamander
Glacier are both visible. A sliver of Grinnell Lake is also visible in
the photograph. If you look closely, you can also see the "river",
more like a huge waterfall, that meanders its way down the cliffs from
Upper Grinnell Lake (not visible) to Grinnell Lake.
