When driving the Centennial Valley Backcountry Drive from west to east (that is, beginning the drive in Monida), this is the first "good view" of the Centennial Mountains the visitor gets, which happens about fifteen or so miles to the east of Monida. Best of all, the drive only gets better the further east the visitor goes.
