Scenic Drive Follows the Pishkun Canal in Central Montana
The Northern Rocky Mountain Front Backcountry Drive closely follows the Pishkun Canal for part of the drive. The Pishkun Canal flows above ground, and diverts water from the Sun River to Pishkun Reservoir.
It should be noted that on this section of the drive, the road is very narrow, and the dropoff on both sides is quite steep. One wrong turn and you might end up swimming in the cold waters of the canal!
