The Sun River Wildlife Management Area (WMA) Scenic Byway is located just outside of the town of Augusta, Montana. This short drive follows a gravel drive across the grassy plains that lie just to the east of the Rocky Mountain Front. The road then reaches the mountains and parallels the base of the mountains through a mix of forests and beautiful meadows that offer sweeping views of the towering peaks of the Rocky Mountain Front and the vast prairie of Central Montana.
