Open Meadow Along the Thompson River in Montana
The Thompson River flows through predominantly heavily forested country. However, towards its upper reaches, the thick forests give way to scattered fields and open meadows. Additionally, the river becomes very narrow, more resembling a spring creek than the river found further downstream. The upper section of the Thompson River is where the best trout fishing is located, too.
