Natural Falls in Montana, Photo #2
Natural Falls is a unique site along the Boulder River. During lower water levels, the river flows through one of two "natural tunnels" (only the lower one is "active" in the above photo). During higher water flows, the river flows through both tunnels as well as cascading over the top in a beautiful waterfall, called Boulder Falls. In this photo, the dry streambed is clearly visible.
Natural Falls is located in Natural Falls Bridge State Monument, along the Boulder River Backcountry Drive, and is just outside of the National Forest boundary.
