Boulder River & The Absaroka Mountains, Photo #2
Although the Boulder River Backcountry Drive passes through a tight canyon once the route enters the National Forest, the views are still excellent courtesy of the many open meadows found along the Boulder River. The Boulder River also has superb fishing and access is excellent along the upper stretch of the river, due to the road that closely follows the river through the National Forest.
