Open, Rolling Hills of the John Long Mountains : Photo #2
The Philipsburg Valley Scenic Loop essentially makes a loop around the southern most point of the John Long Mountains. The southern peaks of the John Long Mountains are quite small, and their flanks tend to be open grass with scattered forests here and there. To the north of the scenic drive is where the taller peaks of the John Long Mountains are located.
