Grasslands and Mountains Along the Scenic Byway
The best views along the Philipsburg Valley Scenic Loop are, in my opinion, along the southern part of the drive (on Highway 38) and along the northern part of the drive (on Highway 348). This picture was taken from just below the low pass that Highway 348 goes through as it crosses the lower peaks of the John Long Mountains.
