Forests and the St. Joe River
The National Forest portion of the St. Joe River Scenic Byway in Idaho is, in my opinion, the most attractive part of the drive. The hills are larger and the forests thicker. Plus, the waters of the St. Joe River are very inviting for trout fishing.
