Forested Mountains Near the Idaho/Montana Border
Once the St. Joe River Scenic Byway leaves the St. Joe River behind, it begins to climb up toward a forested pass that leads into Montana. Although the forest is thick, there is enough open areas to provide views of the surrounding terrain. As can be seen, forested mountains stretch on and on.
