Libby Dam in Montana
Lake Koocanusa was formed by the creation of Libby Dam on the Kootenai River. Libby Dam is fairly large, at least by western standards, with a length of 3055 feet and a height of 422 feet. Some of the best, and most challenging, fishing on the Kootenai River is found right below the dam.
